Abstract head of the substitution group for acceptance criteria. A criterion statesone testable requirement: what is measured, how the measurements are reduced to onevalue, the comparison applied and the limit compared against. As a programspecification it also carries the scope of the features it governs and mayspecialize a more general criterion through basedOnRef. Its members differ in whatis measured: diggs:PerformanceCriterion measures a physical property of thecompleted work, and diggs:DesignConformanceCriterion measures a geometric orconstructional property against its design intent. Each names its subject throughthe parameterName of limit; use the DIGGS dictionary properties.xml for aperformance criterion and designProperty.xml for a design conformance criterion. Aspecification that imposes several requirements on one property, such as a mean anda minimum, is stated as several criteria that share a scope.diggs:CompositeAcceptanceCriterion states the requirement that a logical combinationof other criteria holds; it is a program specification but does not substitute thishead, because it has no operator or limit of its own.
Database handle for the object. It is of XML type ID, so is constrained to beunique in the XML document within which it occurs. An external identifier for the object inthe form of a URI may be constructed using standard XML and XPointer methods. This is doneby concatenating the URI for the document, a fragment separator, and the value of the idattribute.
