A single contiguous surface composed exclusively of planar triangular patches(diggs:TrianglePatch). Unlike diggs:MultiPlanarSurface, whose arbitrary polygonpatches must each be verified as coplanar, every patch has exactly three verticesand is planar by construction. It is intended for an inherently irregular(non-planar) surface, such as a geologic contact, stratigraphic boundary or othersoil or rock model bounding surface, as a triangulated mesh, typically as one of thefaces (diggs:Shell surfaceMembers) of a diggs:Solid soil-model volume. Each patchshall share an edge with an adjacent patch to form a continuous surface, the sameconnectivity requirement as diggs:MultiPlanarSurface.
Database handle for the object. It is of XML type ID, so is constrained to beunique in the XML document within which it occurs. An external identifier for the object inthe form of a URI may be constructed using standard XML and XPointer methods. This is doneby concatenating the URI for the document, a fragment separator, and the value of the idattribute.
