The Scleroscope test consists of dropping a diamond tipped hammer, whichfalls inside a glass tube under the force of its own weight from a fixed height, onto the test specimen. The height of the rebound travel of the hammer is measuredon a graduated scale. The scale of the rebound is arbitrarily chosen and consists ofShore units, divided into 100 parts, which represent the average rebound from purehardened high-carbon steel. The scale is continued higher than 100 to include metalshaving greater hardness.
Database handle for the object. It is of XML type ID, so is constrained to beunique in the XML document within which it occurs. An external identifier for the object inthe form of a URI may be constructed using standard XML and XPointer methods. This is doneby concatenating the URI for the document, a fragment separator, and the value of the idattribute.
