Annotations

Constituent observations describe details of earth materials encountered
within a sampling feature. Constituent observations that are restricted to a
specific lithologic zone are encoded as constituent properties in the Lithology
zones themselves.

Database handle for the object. It is of XML type ID, so is constrained to be
unique in the XML document within which it occurs. An external identifier for the object in
the form of a URI may be constructed using standard XML and XPointer methods. This is done
by concatenating the URI for the document, a fragment separator, and the value of the id
attribute.

howDetermined

diggs:DescriptorMethodEnumType

optional

A value that describes the method by which the observation or
measurement was determined.

stratumCode

string

optional

A legacy attribute to support AGS trial pit sampling features
where observations of different stratum may occur at the same depth in a
pit. It is a reference letter or number whose sole purpose is to link
the stratum shown on a face sketch of the trial pit to the specific
observation.
